Playlists and folders allow structured collection, organization, and sharing of video clips across the SciSports platform. This feature supports efficient collaboration between an organization or staff by centralizing relevant highlights in one place.
Playlists are fully synchronized across the platform. A playlist created in one environment is immediately available in the other, depending on user permissions.
Creating playlists and folders
Playlists store video clips. Folders group multiple playlists to structure analysis projects.
Accessing playlists
Open 'Playlists' from the main navigation on the SciSports platform.
Adding a new playlist or folder
Select Add.
Choose one of the following: Add playlist to create a single playlist, or Add folder to group multiple playlists. (screenshot)
Enter a name.
Define access rights (screenshot):
Only owner: Only the creator can view and edit.
Selected users: Specific team members can view. Editing rights can be assigned to only owner or selected users.
Entire team: All account members can view. Editing rights can be restricted to only owner, selected users or the entire team.Select Add to save.
Select Add.
The new playlist or folder appears in the overview. Selecting the name opens the content view. Within a folder, additional playlists can be created using Add playlist.
Video angle selection
If multiple video angles are available (e.g., broadcast, tactical), the selected angle at the moment of saving will be stored in the playlist.
Moving or deleting playlists
Playlists can be moved to a folder or permanently deleted from the playlist overview.
Moving a playlist to a folder:
Select one or more playlists using the checkboxes.
Click Move in the top bar.
Select the destination folder in the pop-up window.
Click Move here.
If a new folder is required, select the folder icon in the bottom left corner of the pop-up to create one directly.
Please note: playlists can only be moved into folders.
Deleting a playlist:
Select one or more playlists.
Click the Delete icon in the top bar.
Confirm the deletion.
Deleting a playlist permanently removes it from the account.
Adding clips from Game Analyzer
Clips can be added directly from multiple analysis modules.
Option A:
Open Game Analyzer.
Select Event Viewer.
Apply relevant filters.
Select one or multiple clips (the checkbox next to "TIME" will select all).
Choose Add clips to playlist.

Option B:
Open Game Analyzer.
Select Event Viewer.
Apply relevant filters.
View a clip.
Choose Add clips to playlist.

The clips from the following features can be added to a playlist: Event Viewer, Passing Network, Sequences, and Runs & Sprints (access only with tracking and event data).
Adding clips from Video Scouting
Clips can be added through the Video Scouting module.
From player video:
Open a player profile.
Select the Video tab.
Select the desired clips.
Click Add clips to playlist.
Choose the relevant playlist or folder. (screenshot)
To add just the current playing clip: click the Add clips to playlist button next to the download button.
Uploading your own video clips
In addition to adding clips from the platform, you can upload your own MP4 files directly into a playlist.
Open the Playlist you want to add the clip to.

Select the MP4 file from your device.
The clip will appear in the playlist once the upload is complete.
Note: this option is available within your own playlists only.
Managing playlist content
Downloading clips
Open the playlist.
Select one or more clips using the checkboxes.
Click the Download icon.
Choose one of the available options:
Download: clips are downloaded separately as individual MP4 files.
Download as single file: clips are combined into one MP4 video.
Download as ZIP: clips are bundled as separate MP4 files in a ZIP file.
Note: a maximum of 50 clips per download is allowed.

Adding comments
Each clip in a playlist has a comments panel, shown directly beneath the video player. Comments are displayed newest first, with the author's name and timestamp visible on every entry.
Any user with access to the playlist can read and add comments. Users can edit and delete their own comments; comments from others are read-only.
Adding a comment:
Open a clip in a playlist.
Type your comment in the composer beneath the video.
Select Add comment.
The comment appears at the top of the stream, attributed to you.
Editing or deleting a comment:
Select the pencil icon to edit, or the bin icon to delete.
Editing opens the comment in place: make changes and select Save, or Cancel to discard.
Deleting requires confirmation before the comment is permanently removed.
Users with edit rights on the playlist can:
Convert to comment (the note is posted as a comment attributed to the user who converts it, and the original note is removed).
Remove (the note is permanently deleted after confirmation).
Users without edit rights can read the note but cannot convert or remove it.
Filtering playlists and clips
Every clip in a playlist is linked to one or more tags: the player, match, teams, league and season associated with that clip. These links make it possible to filter playlists, folders and clips by tag, surfacing relevant content instantly without manually browsing through the full library.
Filtering the playlist overview:
Open Playlists from the main navigation.
Select Filters.
Choose one or more values (Players, Teams, Leagues, Seasons or Matches).
Select Apply.
Only folders and playlists containing at least one matching clip are shown. Filters can be combined across types to narrow results, or expanded within a type to widen them. Active filters are shown as chips next to the screen title and persist when opening a playlist from the filtered view.
Filtering clips inside a playlist:
The same filter is available within an individual playlist. Applying a filter shows only the matching clips and updates the clip count accordingly. Reordering clips is not available while a filter is active.
Viewing and editing tag tags
Each clip displays its linked tags as chips in the clip detail view, beneath the video.
To edit tags on a single clip, select the tag button next to the chips. All five tag types can be adjusted: Players, Teams, Leagues, Seasons and Matches.
To edit tags across multiple clips at once:
Select clips using the checkboxes (up to 100 clips in one-go).
Select the tag button in the top bar.
Add or remove tags as needed.
Select Save.
Tags can be searched by typing in the selector, or selected from the tags already present in your own clips.
Managing video exports
The My Downloads page provides a centralized overview of all requested video exports. This feature allows for real-time tracking of file preparation and offers a direct method to resolve issues if a download does not complete successfully.
Accessing the download overview
From the video player interface: select the My Downloads button within the video player. (screenshot)

Monitoring file status
Each requested export is listed with its current processing stage:
In Progress: The system is currently generating the video file.
Ready: The export is complete and available for local storage
Failed: An error occurred during the generation process.
Expired: The clip is no longer available for download.
Downloads are stored for 15 days, after which they are automatically removed. If a file has expired, it can no longer be downloaded from the My Downloads page, but can still be downloaded directly from the playlist.
Resolving failed downloads
If a download fails, a notification will appear. Navigate to My Downloads and use the retry option on any file marked as failed. This restarts the export process without requiring re-selection of the original clips.
Sharing playlists
A playlist can be shared by copying the URL from the browser. Recipients must have an active SciSports account and permission to view the playlist. Make sure access rights are configured correctly before sharing. (screenshot)
Recipients must:
Have an active SciSports account.
Have permission to view the playlist.
Removing clips from a playlist
Select one or more clips using the checkboxes on the left.
Click the Bin icon in the top right of the playlist overview.
Click Delete.

Selecting a clip from a playlist opens the playlist player view in a separate screen.

The screen is divided into two main areas: the video player, which displays the selected clip, and the clip overview, which shows all clips in the playlist in chronological order. (screenshot)
Navigating between clips
Select any clip on the right to open it.
If the playlist contains more than 20 clips, use the pagination controls to move between pages.
Use the play button above the clip list to toggle autoplay on or off.
Actions within the clip view
From this screen it is possible to:
Add or edit notes for the selected clip.
Share the clip by copying the URL. For self-uploaded MP4 clips, the link can be shared with anyone, while no SciSports account required. For all other clips, the recipient must have an active account and the correct permissions.
Download the clip as an MP4 file.

Viewing playlists on mobile
Playlists are accessible on mobile devices via browser. The layout adapts to smaller screens while maintaining full playback functionality.
