At SciSports, we understand that clubs and other football-related businesses often work with players who are not yet publicly registered or widely known. With this Private Players feature, we support such specific use cases and offer the ability to have your own players within the platform.
What are Private Players?
Private Players are player profiles that are exclusively visible to your club or business. These profiles are completely hidden from all other users on the platform and are not searchable or publicly accessible in any way. Players that are private to your account are marked with a lock icon, indicating they are exclusively visible to you.
Using this Private Players feature is ideal for integrating academy players into your workflow, benchmarking them against different league levels, and tracking their development over time.
Visibility & Access
Private Players are created by the SciSports team upon request, depending on the scope of the project. To qualify for this, Match Analysis must be performed on the player. The player profile will then be created in the Recruitment Center and enriched with the event data that is generated.
These player profiles will remain private (accessible only to your account) until the player reaches a league level covered by commercially available data. At that point, the profile will automatically become public within the platform and visible to all users. However, data from youth seasons and internal match analyses will remain private and accessible exclusively to your account.
Private Players can be found in various sections of the platform: the player list (example below), search results, and player comparison views.
What features are included?
Using our Match Analysis feature will help you seamlessly migrate event data to the Recruitment Center and the player’s (private) profile, enabling your club to benefit from the same level of analysis available for public players. This enriches the player profile and turns the event data into a range of data-driven and actionable features, such as:
Career Statistics (= contextualizing data-driven insights by showing general event data).
Statistical Profile (= this feature allows you to create custom parameters tailored to the player profiles, which are related to your playing style, by choosing from exclusive SciSports events).
Playing Style (= this feature provides insights into which roles a player has fulfilled during a specific season and also enables you to find players who are similar to a reference player in terms of playing style).
Performance* (= this feature shows the value of a set of a player's actions based on their impact on the scoreline, providing insights into how a player contributes both offensively and defensively to the performance of their team).
* This Performance feature requires full league coverage, as it relies on benchmark data from other players and teams within the league.
