Our Radar Chart allows you to create custom parameters tailored to the player profiles, which are related to your playing style. You can fully configure the parameters by choosing from over 100+ SciSports Events, which are also available in our Career Statistics feature.

You are able to find this Radar Chart as an extra feature on a player's profile, with Kylian Mbappé showcased as an example.

How can I create my own Radar Chart?

When you press on 'See Details', the Radar Chart opens up and the player is automatically included. You have the option to select a season, team and position group, which will be used as input to generate your own radar chart.

Bonus: If a specific season displays 'xMetrics,' it indicates that metrics such as Expected Goals (xG), Expected Assists (xA), and Expected Shots (xS) are available for that season of the player.

SciSports has created various standard position profiles. Considering Kylian Mbappé has played the majority of his minutes at the CF position, this position profile is automatically applied. This profile, as shown in the example, includes:

  • Shots

  • Goals

  • xGoals (xG)

  • xAssists (xA)

  • Off. Headers

  • Box Receptions

  • Ball Losses Opp. Half

Your 'ideal' player profile may differ from the default player profiles of SciSports. Within this section, you can select your own parameters to create your player profile. You can either remove selected events by clicking 'X' next to the event, and add new ones by clicking 'Add a stat...' at the bottom. This will open a list of over 100+ SciSports Events to choose from.

Once you have selected the key parameters and developed a player profile that seamlessly aligns with the playing style of your/a club, you can name it (e.g. 'Mobile Striker No. 9') and save it for future use.

How can I benchmark a player with a league?

Within our Radar Chart feature, you can benchmark a player of your choice against a blend of a position group, a season, and a league of your choice. When selecting a league, the average performance will be calculated of all players (450+ playing minutes) within the position group and season selected.

Example: Kylian Mbappé is compared to all other Centre Forward(s) in season 2023-24 of Ligue 1. The player will be represented in yellow, while the average of the league will be shown with a dotted grey line.

How can I benchmark multiple players?

You are able to benchmark up to three players against each other. This limit ensures the Radar Chart remains clear and manageable. First, please navigate to our Compare tool via the top menu of the application.

You can type and select a player's name in the search bar, and choose the season and position group you would like to benchmark the player with.

How can I download the Radar Chart?

Once you have created the perfect Radar Chart that you want to use for your own purposes, you have the option to download the page as a .PDF file, making it effortless to use in presentations, for example.
