How to share video clips with other users?

SciSports offers various methods for sharing clips with other users. This article explores the available options and how they work.

Option 1: Sharing with playlists & folders

The primary method for sharing clips involves assigning the appropriate permissions to individuals for a folder or playlist. You can read more about Playlists & Folders here.

You have three distinct options for determining who can access the clips:

  • Only owner

  • Selected users

  • Entire team

How it works:

  1. Go to the SciSports platform

  2. Go to 'Playlists'

  3. Press the edit icon on the playlist or folder you want to share (screenshot).

  4. Select who can view the clips: Only owner, Selected users or Entire team.

  5. Select who can edit the clips. Note that you can allow the entire team to view while restricting editing to selected users only.

  6. Press the orange Save button to confirm.

Option 2: Sharing via a clip link

You can share self-uploaded MP4 clips via a direct link, while no SciSports account is required. Anyone with the link can view the clip, making it easy to share with people outside the platform.

How it works:

  1. Go to the SciSports platform

  2. Go to 'Playlists'

  3. Open the self-uploaded MP4 clip you want to share

  4. Press the share icon to copy the clip link (screenshot)

  5. Send the link to whoever you want to share the clip with

Option 3: Sharing using a web URL

You can also share a clip via its web URL. Note that the recipient must have an active SciSports account to open and view the clip.

How it works:

  1. Go to the SciSports platform

  2. Go to 'Playlists'

  3. Open the clip you want to share

  4. Press the URL icon to copy the corresponding link (screenshot)

  5. Send the URL to the person you want to share the clip with

Option 4: Sharing after downloading

You can download a clip to your device and share it via any preferred communication channel (e.g.: email or WhatsApp).

How it works:

  1. Go to the SciSports platform

  2. Go to 'Playlists'

  3. Open the clip you want to share

  4. Press the download icon to save the clip to your device (screenshot)

  5. Send the clip via your preferred method (e.g.: email or WhatsApp)
