Where can you find the 2D Match Animation?
The 2D Match Animation is a new feature that provides a 2D representation of the whole match. You can find the feature within the Performance Center under Data center > data sets. Search for the file type Video2D, and you will find the 2D Match Animation.
What is the added value of the 2D Match Animation?
The 2D Match Animation feature will greatly enhance the video analysis process for the leagues with access to the Performance Center, providing valuable insights and information to help them improve their performance. This feature is a crucial addition to the Performance Center and will provide a more comprehensive analysis of the match to help analysts make better and faster visual analyses.
The main use case will be for video analysts to visualize and present the 2D video next to the video footage of the match. The 2D helicopter view makes it easier to emphasize certain patterns and structures of the teams on the pitch.
How can you download the 2D Match Animation?
You can download the feature using one of the three methods below:
1: Datasets overview page
For one or more matches, you can use the download option from the datasets overview page. First, select the game(s) you are interested in. Secondly, press on the download button on the top right. Finally, select the files you want to download and press download.
2: Datasets details page
For one specific match, you can use the download option from the datasets details page. First, search and select the game you are interested in. Secondly, click on the game to navigate to the details page. Finally, select the files you want to download using the checkboxes and press the download button on the top right.
3: SciSports Performance Center API
If you want to automate your process of downloading files from the Performance Center, you can use our API. More information about the API can be found on our developers page. Please reach out to support@scisports.com if you would like to know more about this.
When is the 2D Match Animation available?
The 2D Match Animation is generated automatically for each match in the current leagues with access to the Performance Center and with SciSports positions available. We offer the option to receive email notifications once a match or specific file is available in the Performance Center. You can set up and personalize the notification settings on your profile page. In which format will the 2D Match Animation be available?
The 2D visualization will be made available as a .mp4 file and will begin from the start of the first half of the match and include the 15-minute break between the match halves. The video file directly starts at the start of the first half. The 2D is therefore synchronized with the kick-off of the match.
