SciSports is delighted to announce a new upgrade in the Performance Center Application. The additional feature within the Application means that users will be able to download SciSports Events as XML files.
Below, we take a closer look at the new features within the Performance Center Application.
Navigate to the new feature: Data Center > Data sets > Select Match > Select SciSports Events XML > Click on the Download button on the top right corner of your screen.
You can now download the SciSports Event XML via the Data Center. Using SciSports events, we now support a SportsCode XML Export to conduct video-analysis.
Our XML timeline can be imported in any video analysis tool that supports SportsCode (HUDL, MyVA, NAC Sports, etc). A step-by-step guide on how to import the SciSports Events XML in your own video tool, can be found here.
SciSports Events XML
The SciSports Events XML provides a set of on-ball events on both team and player level. In addition, we added a subset of advanced events. For instance, passes between the lines, passes behind the last line or switch passes. An entire overview of all supported events on both team and player level can be found here.
We provide a single row per team, and a single row per player in the exported timeline. In addition, we provide a row with SciSports Timestamps, indicating the start and end of the halves to use in setting offsets. Any row contains all events for that team / player, and event-types can be differentiated using the tags. Every event-type has its own tags, so that the user can filter for specific event types.
