Two main ways of getting your highlights in one or more XML files exist. The XML file can be downloaded via:

  1. Datasets -> export predefined XML file(s)

  2. Features* -> create analysis and export the selected events in XML file(s)

*Please find here how to get the most out of the XML export in our features.

Where do I find my files?

Within the Datacenter, you will find datasets per match with all the available files for this match. If the XML files are available for you, these can also be found here.

Find the Data sets under Data center in your Performance Center.

How does it work?

1. Download the match video

First, you want to download the video of the match.

Go to Data Center > Data sets

Download the video mp4 of the match you want to use.

*Or use your own video of the match; please keep in mind that we include the (15') rest in the data.

2. Download the XML file(s)

Go to Data Center > Data sets

You will find the XML files that are available per match.

3. Add the video and XML files to your video analysis tool.

My Video Analyser

After creating a project with the video of the match, import the downloaded XML via File > Import > Timeline > XML File

Example for My Video Analyser:

SportsCode

After creating a project with the video of the match import the downloaded XML via File > Import > Sportscode XML

Example for SportsCode:

Note: All our XML files will consist of:

1. SciSports match timestamps for the start and end of each match half.

2. Instances of the included highlights with their correct offset, based on the video provided in our Data Center.
*If you use your own video file, all instances can easily be aligned with the match's kickoff.

3. Team or Individual Player coding

  • Team coding: Game principles will be coded by team.

  • Individual Player coding: Some events will be coded by player.

4. Colour sorting of teams and players.

  • SciSports match timestamps will always be orange.

  • Home Team and home team players will always be blue.

  • Away Team and away team players will always be red.

5. Labels with relevant categories per instance.

6. Notes with detailed information per instance.
