In this Knowledge Base article, we take a closer look at how the labels and comments features can be used to enhance your workflow on the Recruitment application.

You can read more about how to set up labels here.

Below, we take you through a strategy for using the labels feature.

Identify your scouting assignment

To use the Recruitment application to its fullest extent, having a precise task in mind is advised. For this example, we will be using the following credentials as an elite European club:

  • Position: DM / CM

  • Players Roles: Deep-lying playmaker, box-to-box midfielder and Ball winning midfielder

  • Strengths: Passing and Pressing

  • Age: 22-25

  • Leagues: Premier League, Ligue 1 and Bundesliga

Create labels based on your strategy

Depending on your preference and strategy, setting up labels can be used in a number of ways. Now we have an idea for the type of player we are looking for, the labels feature can be used as a system to track how we view certain players.

From the criteria above, we refined the players tab to a total of 31 players. In order to cut it down further, you can tag the players under different labels based on what we know about the player's situation and other factors. In the image below, we have created a number of recommended labels that could be used effectively.

By navigating into a player's profile page, you can then label them as you wish. For example, a player within your search could be worth video scouting based on their Performance metrics. Over time, extensive use of the labels feature will transform the platform into a more personalised space based on intelligence within the club.

Alternatively, the labels feature can be used more for organisational purposes. For instance, you can label players every time that they are recommended to you by an agent.

Filter by labels in the players tab

One of the great things about the labels feature is that it provides time-saving functionalities for a number of roles within a club. A data scout, for instance, can save time on analysing players that really matter rather than going over previous players that are uninteresting.

For video and live scouts, the labels feature can be effectively used via the players tab filter. By filtering on labels such as 'Next step: Video scouting' and 'Next step: Live scouting', scouts can easily view players that are worth exploring further.

As shown above, filtering on these labels can then allow you to extract the players via the shortlist function. This allows you a quick and easy way to take it with you for further analysis either by video or live.

Extend collaboration with comments feature

Now that we have an effective labelling system in place, you can use the comments feature to communicate with other users in your organisation.

In the above image, you can see on the right hand side how the comments section on a player's page can be used to communicate about a player.
