Within our performance center we’re glad to announce the addition of the SciSports Tactical Match Report and the SciSports Tactical Multimatch Report. Both reports are aimed at providing insights into game-phase specific team-tactics. The difference between both reports is simple, the Tactical Match Report focuses on a single match, the Tactical Multimatch Report will visualize the four most recent matches of a team.

Both reports will focus on a single team, and use event- and position tracking data to provide visual analyses of the average positions of all players in a specific tactical context plus some additional tactical metrics as well as season benchmarks.

Tactical Match Report
Thanks to our tactical match report you can access and analyze team tactics in every game phase directly. The data we provide in this report is based on our regular event- and tracking data, including benchmarks from the ongoing season.

The tactical match report contains the line-up from both teams in a match, analysis pages and a glossary page with all definitions and metrics explained. On the analysis pages you’ll find an overview of the tactical metrics like vertical and horizontal distance between the lines of a team (1), the avg. positions of the players per game phase in- and out of possession (2) and a heatmap of the ball during each game phase (3).

Note that every tactical match report always concerns a single team, and thus two reports are generated per match. You can download the SciSports Tactical Match Report as a .PDF file in the data center.

1. Click on "Data center" in the top menu

2. Select "Data sets"

3. Select a specific match
4. Go to "reports"

5. Download the tactical match report(s).

Tactical Multimatch Report
In addition to the newly released SciSports Tactical Match Report announced above, we’ve directly added the SciSports Tactical Multimatch Report.

The Tactical Multimatch Report also contains three types of analysis, just like the Tactical Match Report. With the biggest difference being an analysis of the four most recent matches played by a team (which could theoretically be matches from multiple seasons).

The Multimatch Report will show you the line-up that features all players active in those four matches, including their shirt numbers (1). Furthermore you can analyze the avg. positions per player in different game phases in- and out of possession (2). Besides that we’ve added a table with tactical metrics like vertical and horizontal distance between lines per match and the season average (3). The colour of the dots denotes a win, draw or loss.

The most recent match is always displayed on the left hand side of the page, and then moving back in time once you go to the right. The Tactical Multimatch Report will be updated after each match and will be ready to be downloaded as a .PDF file in the data center.

1. Go to "data center" in de top menu

2. Select "Reports"

3. Download the Tactical Multimatch Report

All detailed information about the SciSports Tactical Multimatch Report can be found in our knowledge base.

Both reports are another great addition to our Performance Center to analyze your own and your opponents matches.
