Custom Fields

SciSports has expanded the Recruitment Platform with a new feature called 'Custom Fields'. This feature allows users to add additional information to a player's profile at their own preferences in order to assist them in evaluating players. This could include salary, player’s agency, or other relevant details, depending on the user's requirements.

This new feature allows scouts and agencies to personalize and organise their data collection, helping to improve player management and optimize their workflow when using the platform.

Please note: Adding 'Custom Fields' is available on any player profile, but only 'Club Administrators' within an organization have the authority to add information to a player profile.

Here's how to create a custom field:

To add 'Custom Fields' to a player profile, click on the profile icon in the top-right corner of the screen and select the 'Settings' option. You will then be redirected to the settings page, where you can click on 'Custom Fields' on the left-hand side.

On the 'Custom Fields' page, you can easily add a custom field by clicking the orange 'Add Custom Field' button in the top right. This will open a window where you need to enter the information for the custom field.

In this window, you can enter the name of the custom field and add a description. Next, you need to select where you want this custom field to be displayed, in the player bio, the collaboration profile, or both. Depending on the information you want to add, you need to specify the type of the custom field. This can be a number, rating, date, option or text, depending on your specific needs and preferences. You have the freedom to choose the type that best suits what you want to add.

Please note: Custom fields cannot be changed once they have been set, such as the value range or option list. In that case, you must delete the custom field and create a new one.

As mentioned earlier, you can see the custom fields in two places in the Recruitment Centre: in the player bio and in the collaboration profile. Below, we will show you where exactly you can find these:

Player bio

Collaboration profile

If you want to add information to a custom field, click on the minus sign (-) icon. This will open an input field where you can enter the desired information.

Let’s use an example to see how each type works within custom fields and how you can apply them to your workflow.

Number

You can use the type ‘number’ if you want to display a number, for example if you want to see the salary of a player. Look at the example below to see how to apply this data.

After adding the 'Number' type, you can manually enter a value in the input field. For example, if Erling Haaland earns €100,000, you enter that amount.

Rating

The ‘rating’ type can be used when you want to rate a player on something. For example, you can rate a player based on data, video or live scouting. Look at the example below to see how to apply this information.

After adding a "Rating Type", you can easily assign your own rating by clicking on the star icon. As you can see in the example, Haaland has been given a rating of 5 stars based on data scouting.

Date

The 'Date' type is useful when you want to set a specific date or time period for a particular event or activity. For example, this could be a player's next match or the time period in which a scout should follow the player. Look at the example below to see how to apply this information.

After adding a "Date Type," you can assign a date by clicking on the ( - ) symbol. This will open a calendar from which you can select a specific or desired date.

Option

The 'Option' type is useful when you already know in advance what options are available, or when you need to choose from a list of answers. For example, if you want to assign a scout to a specific player, simply select the name of the available scouts. Look at the example below to see how to apply this information.

Once you have added the "Option Type," you can assign the correct option by clicking on the ( - ) symbol. This will give you access to the available options and in this case, you can easily assign your preferred scout.

Text

The 'Text' type allows you to add additional information to a player's profile. This can come in handy if, for example, you want to know which agency a player represents or add a URL for reference. Look at the example below to see how to apply this information.

After you add the 'Text Type,' you can easily enter text in the text field. In this case, we want to add Haaland's agent, so we enter the name: 'Rafaela Pimenta'.

When you have added a custom field, the custom field also appears in the filters in the player search. This gives you the ability to filter by a specific custom field, allowing you to quickly see the data you want to see.

We hope this new feature will help you optimize your workflow. If you have any questions or would like to provide feedback, please contact us at support@scisports.com.
