The Career Statistics of a player tells you about the frequency of each action type they have performed on the pitch in addition to basic information like appearances, minutes played, etc.

By comparing the Career Statistics of different players you get insights into where they rank against each other which can be particularly useful in the later stages on scouting. Next to this, comparing two options to a current player in your team offers an insight into whether they could improve or replace the current output in that area.
