To determine whether a player matches a given Player Role, we analyze all match event data such as passes, shots, dribbles, crosses and defensive actions. By comparing this data with the characteristics of every Player Role, we determine how much the player matches certain Player Roles. Our machine learning model automatically rates the player in terms of each of the 22 player roles leading to their Player Role profile.
