Dimension provides an interactive 2D environment to analyze matches in detail. It enables the visualization of team structure, player positioning, and tactical patterns, while allowing custom analysis setups and video exports.

The pitch loads with all visualizations disabled by default. Previously configured settings are automatically retained.
Understanding the workspace
The workspace consists of:
Pitch view: Interactive 2D visualization of the match.
Left-side menu: All analysis tools and overlays.
Timeline: Navigates the full match in 2D, including moment selection, half selection.
The playing speed can be adjusted directly in the timeline controls to analyze situations in more detail or at a faster pace.
Available pitch views
Dimension offers two main views:
2D view: Full match view, with an optional 45-degree angle that allows the pitch to be dragged for a different perspective.
Final third 2D view: Displays a zoomed-in 2D view of the final third.
The 45-degree view is only available in the full-pitch view and is not included in video exports.

The final third view provides a more detailed perspective of key areas, making it especially useful for:

All active filters and overlays remain applied in both views.
Using filters and overlays
The left-side menu provides multiple options to customize the visualization and analysis of the match.
Team Colors
Team colors can be configured to improve clarity.
Open Team colors.
Adjust colors for:
Home team
Away team
Goalkeepers
Half spaces
Half spaces divide the pitch into vertical zones to highlight positioning between central and wide areas.
Open Half spaces from the left menu.
Enable the feature using the toggle.
Adjust the visualization settings:
Line style: Choose between solid or a dotted style.
Line color: Set the color of the zone boundaries.
Line width: Adjust the thickness of the lines.
Fill area: Enable to highlight the zones.
Color: Choose the fill color.
Intensity: Control the transparency of the filled zones.
Offside line
The offside line visualizes the last defensive line of the selected team, based on the position of the deepest outfield defender.
Open Offside line from the left menu.
Enable the feature using the toggle.
Select the team (home or away).
Adjust the visualization settings:
Line color: Set the color of the offside line.
Line width: Adjust the thickness of the line.
Fill area: Enable to highlight the space behind the defensive line.
Color: Choose the fill color.
Intensity: Control the transparency of the filled area.
The offside line updates continuously based on player positions, making it possible to assess defensive line height and spacing in real time.
Horizontal compactness
Horizontal compactness shows the width of a team, based on the distance between the widest positioned players.
Open Horizontal compactness from the left menu.
Enable the feature using the toggle.
Select the team (home or away).
Adjust the visualization settings:
Line color: Set the color of the boundary lines.
Line width: Adjust the thickness of the lines.
Fill area: Enable to highlight the compactness zone.
Color: Choose the fill color.
Intensity: Control the transparency of the filled area.
The compactness zone is automatically calculated using the outermost players and updates continuously throughout the match.
Vertical compactness
Vertical compactness shows how much space a team occupies from the deepest to the highest player on the pitch.
Open Vertical compactness from the left menu.
Enable the feature using the toggle.
Select the team (home or away).
Adjust the visualization settings:
Line color: Set the color of the boundary lines.
Line width: Adjust the thickness of the lines.
Fill area: Enable to highlight the compactness zone.
Color: Choose the fill color.
Intensity: Control the transparency of the filled area.
The compactness zone is automatically calculated using the players positioned furthest back and furthest forward. It updates continuously throughout the match.
Player lines
Player lines allow distances between two players to be visualized and measured directly on the pitch.
Open Player lines from the left menu.
Select a from player.
Select a to player.
Click Add line (Change the color if needed).
A line is drawn between the selected players, displaying the distance between them. Multiple player line combinations can be added at the same time.
Player groups
Player groups organize players into units to analyze structure and distances on the pitch.
Open Player groups from the left menu.
Enable the feature using the toggle.
Select the team (home or away).
By default, players are grouped by position (e.g., defenders, midfielders, forwards).
Managing player groups
All players are listed and are in order within each line. This reflects how the players are connected in order on the pitch.
Enable Show distances to display distances between connected players.
Drag and drop players within a line or into a different line to change the structure.
Color: Set the color of the group connections.
Line width: Adjust the thickness of the connection lines.
Enter a group name to create a custom group with your own player structure.
Changes are applied instantly and updated throughout the match.
Set Pieces
Set pieces provide quick access to key match events.
Open Set Pieces.
Select a category:
All
Corners
Free kicks
Throw-ins
Penalties
Each event displays:
Timestamp
Event type
Team (home or away)
Selecting an event navigates directly to that moment in the timeline. In combination with the final third view, this enables quick navigation between set piece moments. The selected events are displayed at the top of the screen, allowing direct switching between moments by clicking on the corresponding timestamps. This makes it easy to compare multiple set pieces within the same focused view.
Exporting video
Dimension allows exporting analysis as MP4 video files.
Open Export video.
Configure the export:
Range: Full match, first half, second half, or custom range
Start and end time (for custom range)
Resolution: HD (1280p) or Full HD (1920p)
Quality: Normal (2 Mbps) or High (4 Mbps)
Click Export video.
Save the file locally with a chosen name.
All active overlays, filters, and configurations are included in the exported video. Exports can be created from both the full pitch and final third views.
The video player supports full screen viewing, keyboard shortcuts for efficient navigation, and adjustable playing speed for analysis within the platform.
